Ductless Mini-Split Systems in Clarendon Hills, IL
Whether you’re finishing a basement, adding a sunroom, or simply dealing with rooms that never seem to stay comfortable, a ductless mini-split system could be the smartest upgrade you make to your Clarendon Hills home. McNally’s Heating and Cooling brings trusted, locally rooted expertise to every mini-split installation, service call, and repair we perform.
Why Ductless Systems Are a Perfect Fit for Clarendon Hills Homes
Many homes in Clarendon Hills were built well before modern duct-based HVAC systems became standard, and retrofitting traditional ductwork into those spaces can be costly and disruptive. Ductless mini-split systems offer an elegant solution by delivering heating and cooling directly to the spaces that need it, without the need for extensive renovation work.
With DuPage County summers running hot and humid and winters that can be genuinely punishing, having a system that handles both heating and cooling efficiently is a real advantage. Mini-splits use inverter-driven compressor technology, which means they adjust their output continuously rather than cycling on and off, keeping your home more consistently comfortable throughout every season.
From cozy older bungalows near the village center to newer home additions in the surrounding neighborhoods, McNally’s has helped Clarendon Hills homeowners find the right fit for their specific layout and comfort goals.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is a ductless mini-split system a good option for an older home in Clarendon Hills that has no ductwork?
Absolutely. Many older homes in Clarendon Hills were built without central ductwork, and installing traditional ducts can mean significant construction work. A ductless mini-split system connects an outdoor compressor unit to one or more indoor air handlers through a small conduit, which keeps installation clean and relatively non-invasive. It is one of the most practical ways to bring modern comfort to an older home without a major renovation.
Can a ductless mini-split handle both heating and cooling here in Clarendon Hills?
Yes. Most modern mini-split systems are heat pumps, meaning they provide both heating and cooling from a single system. Given the range of temperatures we see in the Chicago suburbs throughout the year, having one efficient system that covers both seasons is a real benefit. Many units perform well even when outdoor temperatures dip significantly, though our team will help you understand what makes sense for your specific situation.
How many zones do I need for my Clarendon Hills home?
The number of zones depends on the layout of your home and where you want independent temperature control. A single-zone system works well for one room or addition, while a multi-zone system connects multiple indoor units to one outdoor compressor, giving you control over several areas independently. When you schedule a visit with McNally’s, we will assess your space and help you figure out the configuration that fits your home and comfort goals.
Does McNally's also handle mini-split repairs and ongoing maintenance?
We do. Beyond installation, McNally’s provides full service and repair support for ductless mini-split systems. Regular maintenance helps keep your system running efficiently through the hot summers and cold winters we experience in this area. If something does go wrong, our team is available to diagnose and address the issue. You can also learn about our emergency services for situations that cannot wait.
Are there any current promotions available on ductless mini-split systems?
McNally’s periodically offers promotions on equipment and services, and there may also be manufacturer or utility rebates available depending on the system you choose. We encourage you to check our current promotions page or ask our team when you schedule your consultation so we can let you know what opportunities apply to your project.
