Heat Pump Service, Repair, and Installation in Lemont, IL

Yes, and this is one of the most common questions we hear from homeowners in the area. Modern cold-climate heat pumps are engineered to maintain efficient operation even when outdoor temperatures fall well below freezing, which does happen here along the Des Plaines River valley. Many systems are paired with a backup heat source for the coldest nights, and our team will walk you through the best setup for your specific home during a consultation. You can schedule a visit to discuss your options.

A few signs that something is off include inconsistent temperatures from room to room, unusual sounds during operation, noticeably higher energy bills, or a system that runs constantly without reaching your set temperature. Age is also a factor. If your heat pump is more than 12 to 15 years old and requiring frequent repairs, replacement often makes more financial sense than continuing to patch the existing unit. Our technicians will give you an honest evaluation and explain your options clearly before any work begins.

We do. Ductless mini-splits are a great solution for homes in the Lemont area that lack existing ductwork, have additions or finished spaces that the central system does not reach well, or simply want zoned control over different areas of the home. They are also popular for detached garages and home offices. Our team handles both the installation and ongoing service for ductless systems. Most manufacturers and industry professionals recommend at least one full tune-up per year, though twice a year is ideal since a heat pump works during both heating and cooling seasons. In the Lemont area, scheduling a check before summer and again before winter helps ensure your system is ready for whatever the weather brings. Regular maintenance also helps catch small issues before they turn into larger, more costly repairs. You can learn more about keeping your system in good shape on our heating services page.
