Full-Service HVAC for Sycamore Homes and Businesses
Sycamore winters have a way of testing a furnace, and the humid stretch that settles in by July does the same to your air conditioner. When a system gives out here, it is rarely at a convenient moment. Having a contractor who answers the phone and shows up when promised makes all the difference.
McNally’s covers everything from furnaces and central air to ductless systems, heat pumps, and indoor air quality, for both homes and commercial buildings. Here is a look at what we offer in Sycamore:
What Sycamore Homeowners Ask Us About Most
The question we hear most from Sycamore homeowners is whether an aging furnace is worth one more repair or ready for replacement. The honest answer depends on the age of the unit, what the repair costs relative to a new system, and how your utility bills have been trending. We walk you through both sides and let you make the call, and estimates on new system installations are always free.
Sycamore’s historic district raises questions we do not hear everywhere, because homes built a century ago were never designed around modern ductwork. Our technicians work in those homes regularly and know how to fit modern comfort into older construction without tearing it apart. If dust or uneven temperatures are bothering you, our air duct cleaning and air purification services are a sensible place to start.
Serving Sycamore and the Communities Around It
From the courthouse lawn downtown to the newer subdivisions along Route 23, Sycamore is a town we know well, and we serve the surrounding communities of DeKalb, Genoa, and Cortland too. The area mixes carefully kept older homes with newer construction, and each brings its own heating and cooling considerations. A furnace tucked into a basement from the 1920s asks different questions of a technician than a builder-grade system from 2015.
McNally’s has been voted the best heating and air conditioning company multiple times, and we work to earn that trust on every visit. We are licensed and insured, our technicians bring years of field experience, and we explain what we find in plain language before any work begins. Frequently Asked Questions
How fast can you get a technician to my home in Sycamore?
No-heat and no-cool calls get priority, and in many cases we can reach Sycamore the same day you call. For anything that cannot wait, our emergency HVAC service is available around the clock. Either way, you will get a realistic arrival window rather than a vague promise.
What does a new furnace or air conditioner cost in Sycamore?
It depends on the size of your home, the efficiency level you choose, and how your ductwork is laid out, so we do not quote blind numbers over the phone. What we do provide is a clear written estimate after looking at your home, and estimates on new system installations are free. We also run promotions throughout the year that are worth checking before you commit.
Can you work on the older homes near downtown Sycamore?
Yes, and we genuinely enjoy that work. Older Sycamore homes often have boilers, radiators, or partial ductwork that call for experience beyond standard modern systems. Where adding ducts is not practical, a ductless mini-split system can bring efficient heating and cooling to an older home without major construction.
Are you licensed and insured to work in DeKalb County?
Yes. McNally’s is fully licensed and insured, and our technicians handle the permits and code requirements that come with furnace, air conditioning, and boiler work. You will never be left guessing about whether the job was done to code.
Do you offer maintenance plans for Sycamore homes?
We do. Seasonal tune-ups catch small problems before they turn into winter breakdowns, and our maintenance service keeps your system running efficiently year round. Many Sycamore families schedule the furnace tune-up in early fall, before Pumpkin Festival week and the first real cold snap arrive.
